" Happiness... Is It Need Something..? "

Happiness, an emotion or a feeling of joy, a word that brings a smile when spelt. A word whose definition changes with the mouth it uttered. A tool of an optimistic person and a quality whose scarcity makes one pessimist. It’s a thing which can’t be measured in any terms, but a unit which can be symbolized to it is SmileJ.  Philosophers, religious thinkers and doctors define it in terms of ‘living a good life’ rather than a simple emotion.

I take it as a fact that happiness is an eternal feeling of joy which one feels inside, but the parameters have been changed as we take a look on our society. People started finding it in things other than themselves, now they want reasons to be happy. If a person is happy he should have valid reason, but it’s a mental state so why it needs a reason..?  I started asking people what they need to be happy, and each and every reply is a future possibility…

At first I asked a lady playing with her daughter… “Are You Happy..? “ She replied… “Not now… But If I will have a Son, I will be happy and even my family will be happy”. Secondly, I asked a Gentleman working in a MNC the same question… “Are You Happy..?” He replied… “If I can establish a big business house and can earn millions I will be extremely happy”. After this I asked an old man who was on his death chair… “Are You Happy while leaving this world..?” Even He gave a witty reply… “No… if I can watch my third generation playing in front of me I will really be very happy”. After this I thought a child playing in ground can answer it optimistically, so I asked him… “Hey kid is you Happy..?” He got surprised… “Happy..? I have to complete my school home-work, I don’t have time to watch Television, and how can I be happy..? “

It’s utterly ironic but happiness has been changed from eternal to ephemeral and the aftermaths can be easily found as Stress, Depression and Anxiety. The way to achieve success is through enjoying what you have, what you are in. The “if” and “else” for happiness wont be getting over, it’s just keep on changing. Somehow we are running for the things we don’t have in life but we should rather appreciate and recognize what we have. The fact can’t be ignored that…”Happy people are more successful”. Be happy in what you do or Do what makes you feel happy.  J J

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself, nothing has the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it."

Through this written piece you've laid a foundation defining happiness in such a simple way. In our quest for more & more achievements we often get entangled and then seek answers to some basic questions. Quite common one is one's definition of happiness. All that one would then need to realise is what you've written...simple but terse!
